Centrally located in Washington, D.C. Columbia Heights and Petworth have their origin in the late 1800s. Petworth is known for President Lincoln’s Cottage, which was used for entertainment by the Lincoln family during the Civil War. Columbia Heights is known for the historic Tivoli Theater, an exclusive movie house for the residents of D.C. in the early 1900s. Today, the two have grown into fashionable urban neighborhoods that are convenient and accessible to a dynamic downtown area.
